It's like taking a time machine back to the 90s, nothing at all like shopping at Target or even Walmart

KMart was/is terrible. Their stores were/are run down and janky but their prices weren't/aren't even good.

I used to go to a super kmart in the 90's a lot and current kmarts are nothing like it

The kmart used to be like modern day walmart, big and bustling with shoppers and brightly lit with lots of merchandise on the shelves

Kmart nowadays has some of the lights off, hardly any merchandise on the shelves and hardly any people in the store. It's like a dimly lit big lots

The only one left in Omaha is pretty depressing. It's overstocked as fuck, like they just keep ordering the same inventory delivery even if they didn't sell much from the last one.

And yeah it's totally like the 90s never left that place.

Last Kmart I went to the back corner of the store was empty except for wrappers and pop bottles. Customers had taken camping chairs back there and just open stuff and ate it in the dark. I told an employee and they shrugged and kept playing on their phone.

My friend used to work there. He thought about nabbing some video games at one point when he was stocking them (Dreamcast at the time) because there was never anyone around that area he worked. He never did it though
