I can't wait until Infinity War reveals that the only reason Thanos is evil is because Tony was mean to him several years ago or something.

Pretty sure Whiplash also got his start because Stark buzzed him off

Nah. Whiplash's dad worked with Howard Stark and was implied to have been a spy IIRC. Whiplash believed the elder Stark disgraced his father.

Ultron is partially Wanda's fault for fucking with Tony's head which leads to everything.

Stane is a stretch. Dude was evil long before Tony did anything.

Killian is the only one that's 100% Tony's fault. Even Vulture is partially on the government.

If anything Iron Man is Stane's fault, not the other way around.

Well, he was responsible for:

-Ironmonger: He built his suit in a CAVE from a BOX OF SCRAPS, and that caused the rage of Ironmonger. Had he not built a suit from a BOX OF SCRAPS in a CAVE, we wouldn't have to deal with Jeff Bridges.

-Justin Hammer: Already a rival industrialist, Hammer became more flagarant and went after Stark in the new increasingly hostile business of meta and superhero based armed defense. He conspires with...

-Whiplash: to use his own technology against him.

-Tony Stark provided the equipment to house the Cosmic Cube in Avengers (it's StarkTech), so his failure to have better security means he is part responsible for Loki, at least as an Avengers villain. This means he's also responsible for the alien invasion partially as well.

-Killian/Mandarin: All stems from a grudge against Tony.

-Ultron: Made him.

-Vulture: He took 'er jerbs!

-Civil War: He played into the hands of Zemo's plan and is responsible therefore for Zemo's Pyrrhic victory.

-Because of his technology being so ineffectual in Avengers, Loki had a scepter of Cosmic Cube-ry. That scepter was used by HYDRA in experimentation by Strucker on Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, so it's his fault that HYDRA had that sort of power and that those guys had to be put down in AoU.

-Since the Avengers (under the watchful eye of Tony) refused to provide technology to assist Hank Pym in stopping Yellowjacket during Ant-Man, Tony tacitly approved of Yellowjacket's machinations. It's his fault for that too.

-Because Loki used the Cosmic Cube scepter (StarkTech fail), Selvig is possessed. He ends up institutionalized due to this experience. If Selvig hadn't been institutionalized, he could have told them Malekith's plan sooner, possibly even halting any advance of the Dark Elves to Earth. Blame Stark.

-Thanos wouldn't be aware of Loki's machinations if Loki had been stopped by properly functioning StarkTech equipment. But Tony is too busy designing funny suits instead of tech, so now Loki got some balls, ran an invasion, and then warned Thanos about it.

-Thanos, with Earth on his mind, is collecting gemstones in space now. Ronan was charged with collection work as well. Blame Stark.

-The Guardians would never have united if they hadn't all come together in the pursuit of Ronan's defeat. If they had never come together, Pappy Ego might not have found Sonny Starlord. Stark's fault.

-HYDRA was pushing its agenda more actively after the Battle for New York according to Pierce. That's why they finally made their play within SHIELD during Winter Soldier. Therefore, the most recent de-icing of CryBucky was partially due to StarkTech's failure at stopping Loki from claiming the Cosmic Cube. Because Tony was galavanting instead of gallantly inventing.

-I'll find ways to blame Red Skull, Abomination and Magic Hannibal Lecter on Tony too!

Oh:

Because of the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC rushed their own Extended Universe. Therefore, Facebook Lex Luger and Doomsday are at least partially on the shoulders of Iron Man, since he kicked off the success of the MCU. So Doomsday, Lex and Ares are directly the result of Iron Man's debut.

All of this was started in the Casual Superhero Revolution of 2008, initiated by the debut of Iron Man.

Is Tony retroactively responsible for the Red Skull due to Howard not doing enough to stop him from the stealing the cube.

We would never have had to watch that movie if the Cube was safely stowed away and therefore the villainy of the Red Skull as witnessed by the Earth-Prime viewing audience would never have come to pass if the Cube's security had remained a footnote.

Actually, Tony and his father do seem to be responsible for a ton of villains, either by action or inaction. I think you can call every one of them their fault except Abomination, Ego, Malekith, and Robert Redford.

The only one I can't prove yet is Abomination on that list.
