Let's see what CE thinks.

Some of these may not be fair comparisons because they have 2-3 games, compared to others with only one.

Also, mark any spoilers.

Path of Radiance - Radiant Dawn, and it's not even fucking close. Those game have an incredible world, incredible themes, characters, and story. The other games are alright, but they don't come close to that level of depth. It's a shame we won't get another game like that because the series turned into waifu crap.

While PoR/RD has the most votes on the Shadows of Valentia board topic, some say that the blood pact shenanigans bring the game down somewhat.

I don't have a problem with blood pacts. I loved that Ashnard used it to become king. I liked Pelleas' willingness to sacrifice himself, and Tauroneo's role. The Kilvas one is the only one that doesn't make sense.

Fire Emblem is a series where the story is built around coming up with excuses to have good battle scenarios. That's really evident in Shadow Dragon, Blazing Sword, and Sacred Stones, but the Tellius games manage to always make it dynamic and give depth to the world despite that.

As someone who played the tellius series first after Awakening, Tellius is vastly overrated. Jugdral is way better.

I'm still fond of Elibe, mostly because of 7.

I liked how 7 wasn't about a war but starts off with a tribeswoman trying to reunite with her grandfather and a nobleman looking for his father, with all this leading to conflict with a shadowy organization and concludes with a greatest battle never known scenario.

And Nergal, at first, seems to be the stock evil dark wizard standard of the series, but completing the Kishuna chapters on a second playthrough of Hector mode reveals that he's a gut-wrenchingly tragic villain.

I love how the ending changes so much if you do those extra chapters, yet are subtle changes. That final image you get with the alternate ending, man...
