5 seasons and 55 episodes is pretty respectable. Not the power house the first oen was, but it's not like it did poorly.

it didn't do well enough to justify continuing the franchise past that point so any future rugrats projects are doomed to resetting back to babies

Given how Nick typically only gives series three seasons to do stuff its pretty respectable. A good number of their Nicktoons/live action shows only got 2-3 seasons. Especially in the 90s.

since the series is suppose to be a reboot set in 2017 how can the parents relistically do what they normally do when looking after the babies without tumblr or someone else flipping the hell out and bringing it to news media attention?

the creative team cannot be so stupid as to think in 2017 people would just not notice random babies wandering around movie theaters amusement parks or zoo's by themselves

Everyone is looking at their phones that they fail to see the babies. It's all a social satire on our dependence on technology.

That would give me a chuckle.

Then they do a scene in which the parents are enjoying some new-fangled VR at home when the babies get around the fence to the neighbor's yard.
