Because they know Disney will make a boat load of money, basically if I can't make money off of this no one will.

How I would fix Star Wars:

1. Rerelease OT theatrical cut
2. Cancel Han Solo film
3. Remake episode 1 with the same basic plot but no Jar-jar, no midis, no virgin birth, give Maul more personality, make Anakin mature beyond his years and cut the kiddy dialog in fsvor of lines that show he can take serious situations seriously. Keep the Pod racing though. It could be great if it were just done better.
4. Remake episode 2 and just redo the story completely. It should start and end in the same place but actually make sense this time. The Republic was actually freaking aware that they had commissioned an army of clones, maybe Padme is given Senatorly paperwork or whatever to do on Naboo,.maybe negociate some small issues with some organizations, whatever, instead of just being useless. Anakin is again mature beyond his years instead of an angsty teenage POS. Mom can still die, since that was a good moment, but the emotional aftermath should be mostly internal and given by body language and stuff. Maaaaaaaaaybe keep the Yoda fight
5. Remake episode 3 and mostly just improve the acting and some dialog. Maybe a few things here and there but overall the story is actually ok to me. Maybe make Vader a little more rational despite his fury and kill Padme accidentally while fighting Obi-Wan instead of actually trying to Force choke her because of mood swings. Maybe she manages to give birth but dies from her injuries shortly afterward. I dunno, something not stupid.
