Pixie cut girls at Warped/SXSW/Summer Slaughter etc. are generally someone's bi-curious sister or friend. That's not me being a dick that's just what I've noticed after being a scene kid for almost a decade.

Generally their sister/friend will be super scene. Talk to the sister then you might have an in with the short hair girl. Have to be nice to the scene girl though otherwise the pixie cut will blow you off as a dick.
