CJ Watson allegedly slept with the mother of Floyd Mayweather's children, leading to Money spending 90 days in jail for domestic battery

Mayweather was sentenced to 90 days in county jail in 2012 for battery against Josie Harris – the mother of his three children.

The boxer was charged after NBA player CJ Watson allegedly slept with Harris.

Mayweather was also ordered to complete 100-hours of community service and attend a 12-month domestic violence program, on top of paying a £2,000 fine.

I have very limited knowledge of the sport, but how close is this: He knows Mayweather's strategy is to play defensively and tire his opponent out, so he's trying to rile him up to get him to throw more punches and put him on more equal terms. Because McGregor is a firecracker and he can't be the only one tired halfway through the match.

Not particularly. Mayweather will have far, far better stamina if it goes to later rounds because:

1. Mayweather trains for longer fights in general.

2. Mayweather trains boxing techniques only, which allows him to develop better efficiency and breathing in a pure boxing match whereas McGregor's does not have nearly as much technical refinement in boxing.

3. Mayweather will be far more poised and relaxed by the nature of having done this before (And many times more). McGregor has never had a professional boxing match like this in his career, and will be far more wound up and stiff pre-match and during.

4. If Mayweather goes on the offensive he could easily overwhelm McGregor with an unbelievable barrage of signficant strikes. Even if the match makes it to later rounds, the wear and tear McGregor would be feeling would be intense. The most tiring and enfeebling thing in a fight is getting hit hard.


What McGregor probably wants is for Mayweather to be aggressive and--more specifically--sloppy, so he can sneak in a power blow for a knock-out or at least momentum shift. The more Mayweather punches, the more openings he'll create for McGregor.

The issue is McGregor, while a superb MMA fighter, does not have the speed and anticipation of a boxer like Mayweather does in the squared circle. McGregor is banking on a flukey punch, and the last thing he wants to do is consistently exchange strikes at range. Throwing and whiffing a punch is the second most tiring thing in a fight, and that is probably what we'll see a lot of from McGregor.

For instance, there's a reason why Connor McGregor is getting paid a metric ton of money for this fight but someone like Dominick Cruz only makes good money.

It's because Cruz is boring and people don't pay to watch boring.
