Spec Ops: The Line was just...fantastic. I really want that series to continue. It doesn't even necessarily have to continue being a critique on violent shooters and media, although that WOULD be nice. I just loved how personal the story was. It displayed the psychological trauma that can come from war in a way that most games really fail to even try and tackle.

Anyone else want another?

I was just playing this game yesterday

I'm trying to beat it on the hardest difficulty for that last achievement, and it's been pretty frustrating. It wouldn't be so bad if my squad wouldn't get downed out in the open every 2 minutes

I actually felt kind of ill after playing through that game. I don't know if they really could pull off another one though since it's basically a descent into madness as they interpreted it from Konrad and Apocalypse Now.

I liked it but it wasn't the life changing experience people made it out to be. still good tho.

I dont know lol it just reminded me of SOCOM which was a good game to me lol, aslo seemed simler to spec ops.

I thought it was hilarious how much people raved and analysed the game. I bet the developers were super excited that people thought their extremely average and generic shooter was somehow a meta commentary on violence, media, and free will.

Just because you read online somewhere that it was "like super deep man" doesn't mean it wasn't extremely forced, contrived, and not well implemented to begin with. And, story aside, the gameplay was subpar.

I'd kinda like to see another if only for the fact that we don't have a lot of good stories in shooters these days. How are the other Spec Ops games, by the way? I only hear about The Line because of its story, but how did the previous ones fare? Is The Line the only one that takes a dark narrative in the story?
