Here in the UK there's almost no facial hair policies, mostly because of the "Collateral" damage it will do to our pakistani/muslim friends.

I think the same counts for a lot of european countries too, except for those uptight robotic germans.

It's a first world country thing for industrial jobs. It's a fire hazard and also capable of getting caught in equipment.

Idk about retail because I've fortunately never had to bring myself to work in retail or food services. I hate people way too much for that and they pay in peanuts. God bless you poor saps that do. I'd rather work in my 120 degree power plants than deal with annoying old fat women.

LOL the accounting firm I work at just recently allowed for facial hair because they recently hired a bunch of middle eastern workers and don't want to handle the "cultural differences". Then again I barely can grow a beard, which is kind of a blessing because the only hair I grow are one my legs. I feel really bad for people who grow huge ass chest hair. Must be a pain to wax.

Eh I've mostly worked for companies that said no facial hair and kept my goatee and no one ever said anything. I think most of the time the policy is there so they can make neck beards or excessive beards shave.
