It's really hard to get a job and then it's also hard to find a place to live

I don't get it. I feel like I'm not the dumbest person out there, I'm not the laziest, I'm not the most socially awkward.

And yet it feels like I constantly struggle to barely exist and I only survive at all because of the kindness and support of family.

I don't get it. I don't get how to live. I don't get how people live.

I'm really really trying to work at it, I see a psychologist twice a week, I'm trying really hard to schedule appointments with doctors and stuff. But every single thing is just too much. It's all just too much.

Not to be rude but I think you are lazier/less motivated than you realize.

It's not hard to find a job or a place to live. It's harder when you have requirements for those things but still not too difficult.

Also depends if/what college education you have. It helps with job prospects and the money you can make which correlates to the ease of life.

what sort of jobs are you applying to? what level of education do you have? do you know any trades/skills and if not, have you considered learning one?

when i was a kid i had this naive notion that adults had things 'figured out'. now i'm 34, which is, for all intents and purposes, 'an adult', but i still feel like i have no idea what i'm doing. i just kinda ... make it up as i go, i guess, and i realize that this is actually what most adults are doing.

is there something specifically that feels overwhelming? or just the notion of being responsible for yourself?

It seems like you're overwhelmed. I get that way sometimes, I know I'm at my limit when making and going to dr appointments seem like too much. Sometimes making a list of the things you need to get done/calls you need to make helps. Honestly a lot of people support each other and help each other out, a lot of people rely on family, people aren't usually doing it alone from what I have seen so don't beat yourself up about it.
