Let's be frank, video games in which you kill others desensitizes death. No, video games isn't going to make someone kill another person but it does help the concept of death become insignificant to many people, including normal people. Death is suddenly not such a shocking thing to many people because we see it in movies in video games so often. And that may be the tipping point to some people when they murder. Not saying it leads to most murders, but it's hard to believe it doesn't help cause some murders.

I'd say no, not really. Most murders tend to happen from unfortunate rage fueled events that could largely be considered unintentional (someone going to far in a dispute) or circumstances such as greed and rationalized revenge which have existed throughout history. An overwhelming amount of the modern day mass murderers such as Adam Lanza or James Holmes were currently on or have recently been on anti-psychotic prescription drugs during the time of their crimes.

Anti-psychotic drugs are definitely correlated with these instances of random, major violence. People could argue it's not the causation, but the advertisements themselves suggest people can get suicidal while taking them FFS.

The recent Pennsylvania "drug dealer" who killed the four teens was on them too. Endless examples, really.

Sure most, that's why I said some. It's not hard to realize a small difference can result in the loss of a life. For example, there are many murders that would not have occured if it weren't for alcohol. Most people wouldn't say alcohol causes you to murder, but there is no doubt if alcohol did not exist, there would be less murders. Same thing for video games. There is no reason to deny that.
