My car was burned in a garage fire 3 years ago. Only the back of the car was burned so it was salvageable. It was sent to an auto body shop. Geico covered the cost of fixing the car, which was about $2,500.

Nothing scammy about that.

You probably fit whatever profile they are looking for in a "responsible driver." My girl was quoted nearly $140/mo for a 2001 v6 Firebird from Geico, and she got a local State Farm to drop that down to $80/mo while still getting full coverage.

Fuck that. I started with Geico...they fucked up and added something in that raised my rate incredibly high. i called and asked what happened...they admitted it was a mistake. i instantly canceled and went to Progressive and my rate is lower than what i originally quoted at Geico....

Its just really hard to believe. Geico quoted me at $86 for the coverage I wanted. The next closet was Erie Insurance at $130 for the same coverage

I had never been in an accident before, and held insurance with geico for 10 years before getting in my first accident. I was forced into a guard rail by another car, going 45mp/h, fucked up the front right tire and rim, smashed up the front right side above the wheel well, and gouged the right side of the car from the front tire to the rear bumper.

Payed a $100 deductible, got a rental, and they fixed the problem in about a week.

Several weeks after getting my car back, someone drove in front of me in a parking lot and I T-boned them at the passenger side front door/front tire. Banged up the bumper and folded the hood down a bit. Same deal as before.

They've been great.
