So 3 girls went out partying on Southside (Pittsburgh) and snapchatted throughout the night their behavior. Picked up a 4th girl who was 17. Were heading to a guys house to party. Wrapped their car around a telephone pole. 3 died including the 17 yr old. 1 is in critical condition.

There is a youtube video if you search the title name that has 20k+ hits that you can view if interested. I won't link due to nsfw images.

Many people commenting on the news story have called the girls whores and skanks who deserved to die and they are glad they killed themselves and no one else.

Others have said they are children just trying to have fun and did not deserve this.

The one girl was 22 and had a 5 year old daughter I believe.

What is your thoughts on this?

I recall a story about some rapper that tweeted something like "driving drunk lol YOLO!!" and then minutes later they all died in an accident. Some people are just too stupid.

That's messed up. Hopefully that one girl manages to survive.

Can't imagine the pain and sadness the families must be feeling right now. And those snaps... man people are gonna remember these girls as drunken sluts because of them.

I mean, no one deserves to die. They did dumb shit, of course, but i sure pity their families.

I'm living in Southside right now and have been for nearly 2 years, people do dumb drunk junk all the time. A lot of them give uber and lyft good business!

Yeah, it's hard to really sympathize with the girls who died because they were drunk driving and could have very easily killed other people. It's terrible, but if you drink and drive you know what you're risking. With Uber and Lyft there is absolutely no excuse to drink and drive in an area like Pittsburgh where it's prevelant.

I feel for their family, who now have to see them being assholes in their final moments and see the nasty things people were saying about them.

Well, the uber suggestion isn't the best in this situation. It woulda been an astronomical amount.

Hell I priced an uber to go from the hawaii airport to my condo to see if we could cut out a rental car and it was like fucking $70 alone. It isn't even a far drive.

If you have money to waste on alcohol to get you all that wasted, then you have money to waste on an Uber when your life and other people's lives could be in danger.

Alternatively, be even remotely responsible and have a designated driver? Or call someone? Or do anything else to avoid having to drive completely drunk on the road?

I feel like if you don't want to spend money on an uber, then perhaps bouncing all over town is a poor idea.

I don't know everywhere they went, but bethel park to Southside and back shouldn't be completely outrageous.

That's easy to say in whatever situation you are in. If you feel a bunch of what I assume is poorer girls who probably went to a club hoping guys would buy them drinks and bought a bottle of vodka (probably because it was cheaper that way) were going to be able to go and both afford an uber from mcdonald, finleyville, etc to pittsburgh and back on various stops and to some dudes party after, then I would say your answer is probably offbase. (Finding an uber in mcdonald or finleyville in the first place is in itself probably not even possible or unlikely at most times).

And it boils down to the whole, they shouldn't have gone or drank in the first place.

So, I mean, I am just saying we can circumvent that tangent argument from the start. Not really viable.

I do want to post a disclaimer. Contrary to physical evidence showing the driver guzzling vodka from a bottle, one person is claiming the driver was "under the legal intoxication limit" for driving. I find that unlikely and likely bullshit. But, it has however been pushed by at least one person who is berating people who are saying the girls deserved it for being ignorant of the "facts".

Well then one of them sobers up at least a couple hours before they leave. I mean, there were options here. But I've been out with friends constantly and we've all drank a lot and we had picked someone who would be our DD and made sure they stopped drinking and sobered up before we left.

There were options here. And you can't just say "Well, it's easy for you to say when you're not going out to party" when most of us have been in that situation and have been able to deal with it maturely without endangering anyone. They fucked up and they should have figured something out, clearly because three of them are dead and it could have very easily have been worse than that.

And Corrick, I sincerely doubt the driver was sober sober if they hit into a telephone pole hard enough that it killed 3/4 people in the car. If they weren't drunk, then they were recklessly driving which isn't much better at all.

I think the person who says the driver wasn't was a troll or wanted sympathy.

The police said alcohol and speed played a factor in their statement. And the liquor bottle in the videos was completely empty at the scene.

The one family put up a gofundme for their daughters funeral and it got blasted by people cuz they said the daughter was a whore and deserved it. = /

Lots of people crash cars sober while being idiots (using a phone...) too so it's not like it even matters much how drunks they were
