I have an iphone 5s that I plan to get rid of in a few months and was considering going to Samsung. Both my friend and girlfriend have S7's and love them. I've only ever used iphones though.

One factor that influences my decision the expandable storage, which iphone does not have.

I was thinking the S7 edge or the S8. Not sure the differences other than power and maybe storage space though.

Would you recommend switching from iphone to samsung? I have no interest in jailbreaking the device.

Why not a Pixel? They're great and don't have a history of exploding.

S8 has the "infinity display" basically means your phone is mostly screen. Both are rated at a ip68 for water and dust resilience. Iris scanner is 8 only.

He said he wanted expandable memory, cant do that with the pixel. Plus that was a one time thing with the note 7s

There's a 128GB version. How much porn do you need on your phone?

I switched from iPhone 3Gs back in the day to Android and I won't be going back. I currently use an S7 Active. It's a great phone, but it is AT&T only.

i would definitely recommend a samsung phone over an iphone. you can do a lot more with a samsung phone.

i used iphones a few years ago until i switched to a samsung s4 or whatever because it free during black friday if i renewed my contract (which i had to anyways). and it was a great decision.

i like android a lot more and there's much more you can do with it.

Has anybody had any issues with the home "button" on the S8? I hear a lot of people are having issues with it.

I have zero interest in the S8 because it took away the button. I actually got the Active version of S7 specifically because everything is a physical button. I can't stand this move toward software buttons. I understand the S8 is a hybrid (the screen is clickable there), but that's not what I want. There are very few phone options made for people who still like buttons.
