She was immediately rushed to hospital with internal bleeding as the Boise State University student was floating down the Boise River with her boyfriend, Justin White-Ammons when a large man jumped off the Baybrook Bridge and landed on her abdomen leaving her unable to walk or catch breath...that man hasnt been identified Her mother, Heidi Cook said the man appeared to weigh about 250lb and jumped from the 20 feet up as Cienna said the pain felt like "the worst punch in the gut you ever got" Floaters nearby dragged her to shore immediately and called 911. Apparently the fat pig didn't even try to help her out of the water as well and FLED the scene!! Fortunately the internal bleeding stopped before surgery and it was no longer needed as she was able to walk home The man appears to be part of a group that was jumping off a bridge in an attempt to land in the water as close to passing floaters nearby and Heidi said either way, whether or not he'd actually hurt Cienna, it would still be a criminal action Jumpers can be given a $100 citation for jumping within 50 feet of any boater, floater, rafter or tuber on the river Heidi said the family has taken a financial toll because of his actions and they have been victimized by the jumper Her boyfriend has created a Gofundme page with a 6000 goal in an effort to cover her medical bills and every day needs since she cannot work right away.. Do you think the fat pig should be criminally charged? let's see what people think. Even if it wasn't intentional it was totally negligent. You don't have to do something intentionally to be charged with a crime. True, but not what I meant. If, for example, he had slipped and fell off the bridge onto her, and there was a reasonable cause to believe this, then it's much harder to make a case. And the fact that he intentionally tried to jump close to her (I didn't get the sense he intentionally landed on her) means criminal charges should absolutely be levied against him. --- "Nostalgia is a hell of a drug." -Magus 10 ... yikes, hum. i'm on the fence. i think he should be charge to pay the medical bill and fleeing from the scene should be charge for sure.
but it was an accident. being charge for assualt or attempted murder is kind of harsh. If that's the case every car accident would get charged. --- I'm always 50% right all the time ... Copied to Clipboard!

But he didn't slip and fall off a bridge. That's ridiculous. Right. He did it intentionally. But it's not unheard of for people to accidentally fall off of bridges, rather than jump or fall off while being stupid. Or to have some mitigating factors that lead to them falling off (such as dodging a drunk or distracted driver, in which case the driver, not the jumper, would be liable). It's not exactly a common thing, but it has happened. Hence my reaction to reading the story. It was intentional on his part, the dumbass should have criminal charges brought forth. Jen0125 posted... if he jumped off the bridge on purpose and accidentally landed on her that's negligent. He didn't do his due diligence in verifying he wasn't going to land on someone and caused serious bodily injury to someone. Right. Do you think I'm saying this is not what happened? Because I'm saying this is what happened. I read the topic title, read the post, saw he intentionally jumped as close as he could to her, accidentally hit her and fled the scene, and said he should face criminal charges based on this timeline of events because he did it intentionally. The fact that he intentionally jumped and (presumably) accidentally hit her means he should face criminal charges, likely involving criminal negligence. The fact that he intentionally jumped, as opposed to tripping, being shoved, avoiding danger, etc. means that he is entirely culpable for the consequences of that action, including potential consequences that one could be reasonably expected to foresee.
