The biggest issue is people assume cultural appropriation just means anyone of a certain race can't do things of a minority race.

Which isn't the case, it requires a change in meaning and vaule to be appropriation.

Pretty much any time you hear cries about "cultural appropriation," you can safely bet your life it's a white person being attacked. No one really gives a shit or cries appropriation if an Asian or black dude dress up like a leprechaun for St. Paddy's Day, or if a Hispanic guy wears Lederhosen to celebrate Oktoberfest. But a white guy wears a sombrero for Cinco de Mayo? Well, that triggers microaggressions and becomes a social media sensation.

I'd completely agree a lot of it is white bashing and generally I'm only complaining cause I don't wanna be called a hypocrite.

My point is those people don't know what cultural appropriation actually is.

My girlfriend and I were just talking about this.

Basically what it comes down to is, if it's not a white person, it's cultural diffusion. If it's a white person, it's cultural appropriation.

That's basically how SJWs think. They're the most in-the-closet racists imaginable. (And I say this as someone who is a borderline self-hating white)
