I mean rhe side videos. they're not the usual videos I see on some, and others just suggest some outright outlandish stuff. What gives?

They're always making changes, so some weirdity is to be expected from time to time. I just went to trending, and clicked a video I wouldn't normally watch, but my recommendations are (for better or worse) more or less in the ballpark of what I do normally watch.

I was listening to Peel Sessions (an old radio program where musicians would do live recordings of their songs) and one of the suggested was a "My Little Pony Cringe Compilation"

I've never seen those before, and I got sucked straight into the abyss. I never knew people like that could exist....And there are so many types of these compilations that I've actually lost hope in humanity that I didn't know I still had.

Anyone else seeing videos recommended to them from years ago?

Maybe I wasn't clear, I thought it was implied that the recommendations I was seeing were the ones displayed in the same place as the video that was playing.

I didn't say I went to trending, watched a video I normally wouldn't (which, for the record is nearly everything in 'trending'), then went back to my 'recommendations' feed.
