How badly do you have to fuck up life to get a 530? I had a couple student loans delinquent over a year due to address confusion (which I got rectified) and I still only hit as low as 650 or so.

i had 3 student loans that i let go 5 months unpaid because i didn't give a fuck. i figured what the hell do i need credit for, and was like actively blocking wells fargo from calling me (which they are being sued over lol).

then when i realized OH SHIT YOU DO NEED CREDIT for an apartment i wanted to rent, i called in and worked with them. they got rid of all the late fees but i still have 18 late payments on my account. that was 3 years ago.

I don't think I ever went below 700. First time I checked my credit was when I bought my first car after college, and iirc it was around 730 or so. It wasn't as big of a deal since the only payments I was making was off 2 credit cards.

I was at a 680 for the longest before a certain someone put me as a joint applicant for a car loan and decided they didn't like it and I suppose just gave it back. I didn't even find out about it until the collection notices started coming in my name; my credit score went down almost 100 points. This was in 2014 and I still haven't been able to remove it from my credit.
