I think people are overreacting, but at the same time: avoid domestic vehicles if you can afford it. Get a Nissan or a Honda, or something...

Tell me, what do you actually want out of your next car and which boxes does that jeep tick? It's easy to cross off shit cars without knowing the buyer but hard to choose one without information upfront.

Fiats aren't great either.
It's slow, ungainly and not very attractive with poor mpg. Personally I'd go for a Volkswagen Tiguan in your price bracket, but personally I prefer a sports sedan. --- RIP_Supa posted... I've seen some stuff ... Copied to Clipboard!

Ok, so I'll give a serious reply since many people in this topic seem to be giving half answers and the TC is purposefully playing dumb / being belligerent.
If you want a compact SUV for around 20k, there are better options. Especially since you're looking at a 3-year old model that you're getting used. You could get new versions of vehicles that are much better and more reliable for around the same price. You got the Volkswagen Tiguan or Mazda CX-5 if you want something more sporty, the Mazda CX-3 or even the Honda CRV / HRV if you want something more economical. If you want something for off-roading, the Subaru Crosstrek is a better option, hell, there's even better options in Jeep's own fucking lineup than the Renegade. Shit, you even got something like the Nissan Juke if you just want something weird looking. And I seriously doubt you're going to be doing much off-road driving with it if you live in a city anyway. It seems like you just want a vehicle that you can tell people is good for off-roading. It doesn't really seem that you're even interested in doing any actual off-roading yourself. Based on what other reviewers are saying, the Renegade definitely has some reliability issues / other problems that will likely haunt you down the road. What about the Renegade do you actually find attractive, other than that it looks like a Fiat? --- Sign here. ... Copied to Clipboard!
