Is I find it way too awkward talking into a mic by myself. I've wanted to try a chill LP sometimes but I just can't talk naturally or normally into a mic by myself without sounding bored or strange.

You just have to practice, man. Keep doing it and doing it until it becomes second nature.

No commentaries are boring. Might as well just play yourself. If you prefer no commentary you probably just have been listening to the wrong let's players. Commentary makes or breaks the let's play for me. I will watch a game I hate if it's from a good let's player

Maybe find a friend to do it with you. It's easier to play off someone else's comments

Just keep doing it, but don't FORCE yourself to talk if you're just trying to break the silence. When you do it enough, you'll find your own rhythm and flow that you're comfortable with. And I think people will appreciate some silence when they watch Let's Plays. That's how I prefer them, personally. This is stuff I've learned from following youtubers for a while as well as doing a couple LP's myself (tho I've never finished one ._.) But just keep doing it man. It's something that you'll naturally learn.

Nah. When I'm interested in a game's story, but don't care about the gameplay, player commentary becomes unnecessary. I just want to see the cut scenes and boss fights so there's no need to buy it heuheuheue.

Don't talk WHILE you're playing, that's annoying as hell. Instead just make notes of things you think about while playing and come up with a script to read or improvise later.
