If Jon Snow and Khaleesi bone, he'd be pounding his Aunt? She'd be screwing her nephew?

So let me get this straight?:

Jon Snow is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen, who was the son of the Mad King. Dany is the daughter of the Mad King.

So... he'd be boning his Aunt Dany?


Hot.

Anyway, how far removed would that be? isn't that only once removed? Isn't that illegal in all 50 states? LOL. I mean, for GoTs, a series where twin brother and sister secretly had two sons as the king at one point, it's really not all that crazy. Still, it's bold for what are arguably the two main characters of the show.

Unless one of them or both die... which wouldn't be all that weird too, considering the way this story is written.

well in history you'll find a lot of incest. in fact, queen elizabeth and prince phillip are second or third cousins IIRC. since royalty always marries royalty and they make up such a small percentage of the population, it's bound to happen.

Oh I have no doubt that in real life, historical royalty committed incest. I also know that the Targaryan's were known for their lineage being dotted with sister/queens. What I'm wondering is if I got Jon and Dany correct?

Okay, so here's my second question. Knowing the fans of this series, (and normal human thought). They are going to reject a pairing of these two knowing they are aunt and nephew. Yet, there's so much foreshadowing of these two getting down and nasty.

Is... George Martin's ultimate goal here to convince everyone that incest is chill? I mean, look at all these kids being born in this universe with no birth defects from incest (Jeoffry was just a spoiled bitch) and now we're going to just be cool with a Aunt/Nephew ship? Really?

Within the world of Westeros, what purpose would this serve actually? Uniting the North and.....South? Unless Jon and Daenarys agrees to rule only the north and south separately would they have to get married or take over the ol fashion way by conquest?

Since we're in spoilerville now, there are two possibilities (fan theories) going on:

1. Dany + Jon is the song of Ice and Fire
2. Jon alone is the song of Ice and Fire (meaning Dany may not have a happy ending)

But either way, their alliance is a must to fight the Others.

At this point I'm thinking each will be relatively consumed with their major objectives--war vs. Lannisters and prepping for the Others--that the "bend the knee" stuff will get put to the wayside for the time being. They have bigger fish to fry.

Also, I personally don't think Dany will win the "game of thrones" in the end.

And possibly Howland Reed since he was at the Tower of Joy with Ned. But we haven't seen him in present day the entire show so who knows if he's alive or not.

My theory is that since neither Jon nor Dany will budge, they'll end up marrying as a compromise. The North won't follow Jon if he bends the knee and Dany is just too stubborn. Plus, those two are totally attracted to each other.

The targaryen's weren't all mad. And it may be proven that the Mad King actually went mad because of a Bran flashback much like Hodor.

This is just for the HBO series, right? Bookwise I think Aerys II grew mad over time. His kidnapping only served to make his suspicion of others worse I think.

Third-cousins cousins is a very far from an aunt or uncle. Hell, even first-cousins is an improvement. Granted, you wouldn't necessarily see some huge detriment within one generation of real inbreeding (ie, direct relation)
