Think transgender people. Some men for example, feel that they are women. What if we could give them a pill that would make them feel like men with no harmful side effects? Would that be ethical? Would trans people want this?

People are all for medication that treats people who are suffering or are struggling to function in society (think stuff like ADHD meds, depression meds, etc). I don't see why this would be any different. In all instances that is just how your brain is naturally, but you are using medication in an attempt to reduce suffering/dysphoria and lead a more normal life.
