The only place available that offers actual high speed in my neighborhood is Cox...next highest is fucking 4Mbps from the better and far cheaper CenturyLink. Paying $81/month for 50Mbps. Can pay $35 for 40Mbps through CenturyLink but noooo.

What's worse is my friend bought a house in an older part of town and he has access to it there. The fuck.

Who told you that lie? it was designed to nickel and dime the customers for as little actual service as possible, fucking cheapskates and conmen, them owning the government along with various others are why I hate corporations so much and don't care when they get ripped off. I have Time Warner Spectrum and they're probably even worst. When they did the merge, our internet wasn't working right and we were force to buy their modem for $150's because the one we had wasn't "compatible" anymore.

That sounds awful. Where do you live?

Omaha. Which makes it even more ridiculous. It's not like I'm in the middle of nowhere. It's a big metropolitan area, you'd think we'd have more than two worthwhile internet providers.

Actually I think Spectrum is out here now too but I haven't heard good things about it.

I'd blow through all of that in a day if I get an X1X and download all my games on it.
