Because most of the average males in America are kinda on the overweight side of things?
I mean I heard that over there 5 pounds over weight is serious business for men and 15 pounds overweight is like a death sentence for finding a gf.

Does this apply to foreigners? So do most American guys never have a chance if they don't become fit and thin?
Or will a Japanese or Korean girl be cool with an American guy that has some weight on him but not obese?

But like if someone interviewed random women in Japan/Korea and showed them pics of normal American guys would they most be like "oh yeah he is attractive and I would be up for dating him." or "eugh yuck not really interested not my type."

I'm pretty sure every single one would say something different and that you'd need a fuck load of pictures do represent American males.

My point is, generalizations like this are pointless and every time someone tries to study them the result changes.
