Still not sure how I feel about the game. Liking it so far but only about a third of the way into it.

But one thing I can say for certain is that the sound design is impeccable.

They use binaural audio, and the things they pull off are nothing short of incredible. Without getting too spoilery (but tagging just in case) the voices Senua hears sound like they're in your head. It's freaky. And I found wind chimes in one level and spent a few minutes just walking around them, listening to the sound change "direction".

Cool game so far. I guess it's pretty short, but it was $30 so I guess that's not too bad. Short games never bothered me, anyway.

i'm still debating to buy it on ps4 or pc.

I have ps4 gold headset. i don't think the 7.1 sound works on pc. i think they just become dual audio.

I like the feel of the ps4 controller.

But i like the option of 4k in 60 fps on the pc.

Still haven't finished the game, but I think I'm close to the end.

I can say that while there is some action/combat, that is not at all the focus. The game is very narrative driven. Almost like playing a movie. Think Until Dawn, except instead of QTEs and dialogue choices, you have some light puzzle solving and pockets of combat.

The story is compelling. Getting a look into the mind of madness is sad and intriguing.

The voice acting and motion capture are superb. Better than Until Dawn imho.

I'm playing on PS4 and it plays fine, haven't noticed any major framerate hiccups, but it's certainly not running at 60fps in 4K, so I wouldn't blame you for going with PC.

I haven't heard anything about the game except for derp comments about perma-death which honestly as a roguelike player I enjoy permadeath

I think the permadeath was just a hoax/gimmick. There's something in the beginning of the game about losing all progress if the "darkness" reaches Senua's head, and each time you die the darkness spreads, supposedly.

But people have been testing it and it seems that may have been something devs said just to increase tension in the game, and create a certain sense of urgency.
