actually, I think Rinoa might actually have the strongest natural str growth in the game. :u I could be wrong though.

Well, I find her kind of endearing :v She's a lot less perfect than the other FF heroines. Like, she makes a lot of stupid mistakes and I can relate to that.

I liked Rinoa a lot. She had the best limit breaks and honestly that "little girl pretending to be a grownup" personality is pretty much the game in a nutshell. I mean FF8 had some cool and impactful moments but ultimately you play it because it has no inhibitions about doing all the stuff you thought would be cool in 5th grade, and it points out how goofy it looks in execution.

her white dress has no combat model which bugged me

one time i waited until disk 2 when she wears it when its just her and squall in the party going to the concert their friends put on.
thats when i used the magic lamp to fight diablo only to see that it just puts her back in her default costume for the fight.


usually i fight diablo on disk 1 when you control rinoa solo
just so that playable section has her has some combat to it

as stated, angel wing meteor is actually the strongest limit break use in the game

but it doesn't really function efficiently against the only boss where it's even necessary relative to other characters' limit break options

the ability to cancel your turn repeatedly until you get a limit break, and the aura spell making that have a chance of working, completely breaks FF8 mechanics

Zell's limit break can ultimately cause the most damage if you do it right

specifically angel wing meteor with auto haste and triple

best thing about it is you don't have to actually do anything in random encounters aside from activate angel wing

Didn't angel wing take magic away from your inventory? I feel like that's the only reason I didn't like it

it takes away your control of what spells you cast, but only casts a specific subset of spells, with a magic stat value that is ~3x whatever she has, and it can exceed 255, and it casts without using a copy of the spell

so the key is to only equip the best one of those spells- meteor, since it has multihit and can do five figure damage

FF8 is so easily broken it's hilarious. My favorite thing to do is put triple on speed combined with autohaste and set the battle speed to slow. I beat lvl 100 omega without him even getting a turn

Lots of people love triple triad, and I played it a fair bit myself, but I always hated how specific everything was. Like, to complete the quest you had to lose specific cards to specific people and I could never figure out how the rules spread.

How anybody figured it out without a guide is beyond me. So I just never did it.
