So I spent 8 dollars for twelve small tins of a venezuelan tobacco product, chimo el toro.

I ordered it in march, figured it was never coming but here it is. I honestly dont even care about this any more since i assumed it was mia, but now i have 12 tins.

So basically this product is molasses-like thickness, you pinch of a piece, roll it into a ball and place it in your lower lip. aparently it packs a punch and dissolves in your mouth.

I did open one tin and it kinda smells like salty molasses but kinda faint. not a terrible smell. I will try this later though.

It doesnt smell nearly as gross as I thought. I will see how it tastes, though.

Chimo el toro is a tobacco product that is very hard in consistency. It is placed under the tongue and is let sit there to dissolve.

It is sold in a bright red and yellow tin, which is round and small, and features a drawing of a bull on the front. Under the bull it says "calidad y sabor" This tin features no warning label whatsoever.

Upon opening the tin, you notice it is nearly rock hard. It is dark brown if not black in color. The smell is hard for me to describe. It is not unpleasant. smells a touch salty, but like some kind of...perhaps grain cracker. I don't know.

The product is difficult to handle. While there is no packing issues whatsoever like other oral products have(it is nearly infused together. all of it), it is tough to pick at and actually...use. You can squeeze the sides and the mass is supposed to pop out, but I cant get that to work. So, Im using a pointy object to lift the brick from the sides. it is tough to get a slab off, but once you do by rubbing it and twisting, you roll it into a ball. size of a pea.

It is then placed under your tongue. The flavor hits immediately. This has a very dark taste, almost like vege or marmite. or perhaps a beef broth cube licked raw. If you enjoy those flavors, expect it to be extreme and to hit hard and fast. It dissolved under your tongue in a pool of saliva and you must spit. It can cause the under tongue area to burn or feel a tad numb.

This is supposed to carry quite a punch in term of nic. About three minutes ago I put in a pea sized ball, first time a regular portion. I am now buzzing pretty hard. If you like a nicotine buzz, this is the product for you.

Overall: not bad. To an outsider, probably disgusting but to a dipper it wouldnt be terrible. just maybe a bit too extreme

I post about a lot of things, but I do like to post about tobacco.

Why do I like weird forms of tobacco? I dunno, im just interested in trying new things that are different. I like seeing what products give me a buzz or what things taste like.

just for the record I have never once smoked a cig. Thats not where my motivations lie, which is why I only use oral tobaccos or nasal snuff. I'm not interested in cigs though.
