MangaGamer must've had good success with Rance 5 and 6, they made the announcement at Otakon today. it'll be a new translation too, not the same fan one.

what route will you pick first?

Yesssss

I finished Rance 6 when it came out and immediately wanted to play Sengoku again (and did)

I can't wait for Quest and I'm glad I can finally actually buy Sengoku

Also the re-translation will be good

I tried playing this. the gameplay is awesome but the porn is super low quality. would be a lot better without it.

also

the part where the spider monster just randomly rapes that one princess felt like it came absolutely out of nowhere. I pretty much stopped playing the game after that.

although I will say

Rance himself is really not much better. I got the impression he was supposed to be presented as a comical character but I found it really hard to sympathize with or support any of his goals which made me feel really disconnected from wanting to succeed at the game. I pretty much was only playing because it was one of the best/streamlined simulation games I've tried before.

you might be more interested in Big Bang Age, it gets the strategy stuff better.
Rance is a weird character. you'll absolutely hate him sometimes but other times he'll be the hero. he's not a good guy or a bad guy overall, just a guy with varying shades of both.

Yeah you are locked on the True History route for the first playthrough, Kenshin, Ran, Isoroku, and Kill the Monkey routes are only available afterward.
