The people who showed up to protest the KKK/Neo Nazis at that rally were heroes who put their lives on the line to speak out against hate, and we should all be in awe of them for it.

They weren't heroes. They were counter-protesters.

And we should lift them up on our shoulders for being so courageous as to march and picket for the cause of civil rights and humanity, against Neo Nazis who wanted to kill them. Every person who raised their voice against the KKK yesterday should have our respect.
