That's the most inspired bit of genius. There have been some less than thrilling Cidpics over the 2.5 years I've done this, but this one definitely the best of this contest so far.

I'm just saying, this sort of thing opens the door to, say, a person at the end of the round who has multiple options that are reasonably similar in name, to be like "Fang" only to retract it and say "oops, I meant Fran" which could throw things off if someone saved Fang between the initial post and the correction, and the first person can claim to save a different character, or if someone WOULD'VE saved Fang and didn't because of that post. I use that example because I had a Fran/Fang mix-up myself last year that I had to fix multiple times before posting.

FFD has been more of a "strict letter of the law" kinda guy and he might agree with you and boot out Yuna instead, but Tangy corrected it less than a minute later, and again, I don't want to get in the habit of punishing someone because their auto-correct screwed them up.

If he had waited several minutes or until after the round was over to say "wait I meant Yuna," I'd have said it's too late. Or even if he had actually posted "Terra" instead of "Tina," because not everybody realizes Tina is her Japanese name. lefty had to ask me "who is Tina" when he was doing the update.

For the first nine years of this contest, you could count on Auron to consistently finish up near the top. He had 6 top 25s, 5 top tens, 2 finals appearances, and 1 championship. It's been a bit of a struggle since then. He only has one top ten finish and three top 25 finishes overall in the last ten contests. It always felt unlikely that he'd ever get booted though, but here he is. Which is more embarrassing: Getting booted or losing the finals to Lulu? Tough call, really.

With this placement, Auron drops from 71.53% to 68.03% in the STATS, falling from 14th to 18th place. The fall in the New Era STATS is even more precipitous due to the smaller sample size and relative lack of success. There, Auron slides from 65.28% to 55.24%, dropping from 25th place to 40th place.

Truly this round sucked, but I was mobile at the end and without a pre-rush update telling me what was unsafe there was no reason for me to hold as I'd only save late anyway.

RIP Auron. I say for contest XXI we bring him and Jecht back along with Braska and just redeem the shit out of the original High Summoner Squad!

Yeah because on a tiny ass phone it's totally feasible to look through like 22 posts and determine who's safe in a matter of seconds and make the best snap judgment. I meant a real pre-rush update with like half as many characters left. Unless you're sitting at a desktop anything else is kind of futile.
