Nah, I think I'd take even Barthandelus over him. He at least pretends to care about the protagonists and tries to get in their way. Vayne spends almost the entire game doing stuff offscreen.

It's weird because FFXII has two of my favorite side villains in the series but Vayne is dreadful.

If you're talking about Gabranth then he's overrated. I'm tired of people nominating him (and Kimahri) in only to get him booted. You can blast me all you want about supporting X "fodder" but at least I care enough to actually try to keep them around as long as possible. I'll never understand the appeal of getting a flavor-of-the-contest in only to not support them (okay aside from Vaan, but that's for a very different reason).

If you're talking about Ba'Gamnan then he's underrated. Help me get him in next contest!

If you're talking about both or some other weird combo (who else even IS there- some judges who lack serious screentime, does Vossler count, Venat??) and omitting Dr. Cid well you can definitely take a short walk off a long pier positioned over the Sandsea.

Nah, I'd never want Gabranth to get back in other than to see him usurp Shuyin for last place. There's no point in asking me to help non-FFVIII characters get into the contest because I can't really afford to support more than one, especially as Team FFVIII continues to shrink, and Tifa is that one this year.

Dr. Cid is definitely the best of the bunch.

Hm so Dr. Cid and Ba'Gamnan confirmed. I mean you wouldn't have to do more than get him into the contest and I could probably drum up enough interest to get him beyond the hard boots at least. I'm well aware all things VIII take priority.
