The more I think about it, a Han prequel can only go one way: he was some naive heroic type who got jaded because some bad stuff happened, which is a terrible backstory for Han. Well I guess there's also just making a movie with no character development and no reason to watch, but I doubt they'll do that. Or I guess hey could also make it actually about another character but have Han just hangs around to put butts in seats, as if a Star Wars film needs the help. But yeah for Ben Kenobi, they're gonna at least have to come up with a decent reason for the affair to not even warrant a footnote in the OT. So, some sort of top secret mission I guess. Sounds like they could easily pad something in there for the 18 year gap, even if just an adventure that took a week or two of that time. chrono625 08/17/17 7:17:46 PM #36:	obi wan did SHIT during the gap between 3 and 4 because Jedi's were being hunted all over the galaxy. his only purpose was to stay on tattoine and watch over luke. it's common sense and you don't need any more than that. if obi wan got involved in any capacity he would have brought immediate danger to himself and luke. you want to watch an obi wan Kenobi movie where he doesn't use the force or a lightsaber? cause that's what it would be since he was trying to go off grid to prevent being detected by the Empire and Vader. him killing maul was needed to just end his ridiculous arc, and it happens just before episode 4. It doesn't make any sense in any way to suddenly have Kenobi get a space ship and travel off world and take part in any act that would complicate himself and most importantly luke. Read the comics, they are 100% canon and shows Ben struggling to live a life of seclusion and the only things he does to help the helpless is protect jawas and beat up sand people. He only appears against Maul because Maul knew about Luke (i.e the "chosen one") and used the threat to draw Kenobi out to settle the score once and for all. Kenobi was never reckless or dumb.
