Rather than hormones and surgery, we should figure out why transgenders hate their birth gender. Were they abused, or bullied for being gay? Do they just want to crossdress and fill a different social role? Most don't do surgery afterall, and many care about "passing" more than having self esteem. I'm sure there are more reasons that vary from person to person, but I don't think transitioning is necessary in most cases. Maybe the few who actually want surgery and don't end up regretting it, but the rest need to consider the possibility of having something like an inferiority complex compared to other males, or a dissociative identity disorder instead of dysphoria.

Trust me, I'd much rather be with a dude if we're just going by personality, interests, hobbies, etc. I have much more in common with most men than most women, but unfortunately there's just nothing sexually attractive about the male body to me. It doesn't even have to do with some mindset of "that's a man, that would be gay, I'm not gay" if there was a biological woman that had those features I wouldn't sleep with her either.
And somehow I don't think most gay dudes would appreciate it if I was like "here dress like a woman and don't say anything so I can close my eyes and pretend you're a woman"

Didn't say they were, infact I don't like calling trans-people gay or straight because it bends the definition. The ones that aren't gay (want to become "lesbians") seem more likely to be cisgender with another undiagnosed problem, IMO. They might just be beta males, and that's okay. But it's not healthy to confuse a personality type with a gender.

A little insulting perhaps, but not malicious. I'm not trying to hurt feelings, I trying to give advice on how to stop making mistakes. Because I think some are making mistakes. Many choose no surgery, and plenty regret surgery. It makes their lives so much harder for something that might be a huge misunderstanding.

If they are legit, then I wish them the best of luck. I think the legits are only a fraction of the all the confused suicidal teenagers going through this hardship though. Its terrible so many are suffering when they might be wrong.

I mean that's pretty true, but turning down free BJs is a waste. The fact that it's not "normalized" hurts a bunch of people in or out of the closet. You can say the real problem is homophobia, but I think the actual cause is automatically dividing (mono-sexuality) people in the first place.There's traps and transgenders that get lost in the mix and end up alone. Its not perfect, but I think its better than what we have now.

My point was; don't turn down all men before you ever meet them, wait till you get to know them. Most gays assumed they were straight till something proved them wrong. Then they never give women a second chance, which I think is ridiculous.

I don't agree with adjusting vocabularies (1.) for extreme minorities, (2.) when it could be implied they don't mean any offense (3.) if the party in question wasn't so oversensitive.

There's a big difference in discrimination and statistical invisibility. Bisexuals don't get upset when people say "gay or straight", asexuals shouldn't either.

Also, unless said asexual is dating another asexual (odds are a million to one) then the lack of sex will probably cause relationship problems.

I would have more self-esteem if I could "pass", and that's kind of the whole point of this thing anyway. I want people in public to see a girl when they look at me, to think of me as one, and treat me as one. I want it to happen subconsciously with people. I'll never get that if I look like a guy dressing like a girl, so of course passing is kind of important. I mean, if it was possible for people to think I'm a girl while wearing guys' clothes, I would. Also, I would do surgery if I could afford it, but it's ridiculously expensive.

I have no interest in sex whatsoever, but do I have to call myself "an asexual"? I don't really care for all the new terms everyone uses nowadays... There, that's one of my unpopular opinions.
