Don't think that's what the original question is talking about. Most people make racist jokes to each other. But I would never date someone who actually believed that mexicans were lazy, or the polish were stupid, or that irish were drunks.

On top of that, if someone were religious (again, my BF was a rather devout Muslim when I first met him, and I'm not exactly quiet when it comes to my opinions on Islam) I still wouldn't care when dating them unless it's an extreme or very open case of it.

I meant in the sense of attacking the intelligence of religious people. People have said that being religious correlated with lower IQ, but I can't imagine that a person who actively believes stereotypes based on skin tone and ethnic background are really worth having an intelligent conversation with.

It's just a turn off to me tbh. Though I wouldn't say those people who are slightly bigoted aren't dateable though, they're people and people have idiosyncrasies, judge the whole of their character and not parsed parts.

Can't say I could, but then, there's plenty of non-racists out there I would never date for other reasons. Bigotry is hardly the only deal-breaker to be mindful of.

It is precisely because I know so much about Islam that I'm so critical of it.

Apostasy, especially a gay one along with the many, many backwards teachings of Islam gives me no reason to sing its praises, though the regressive left does love to try and tell former Muslims like myself how their former religion is indeed wonderful, neglecting the many, many horror stories.

Assuming she was perfect in every other way then yeah, probably. If she was going to Klan meetings and yelling at black people on the street, no way, but if at home she talks about how she doesn't like black people or whatever, meh.

I ignore most of what people say to me anyways. 'Not liking black people' is a semi-major character flaw, but it could be a lot worse.

If the girl I'm with is going to talk shit to people, she'd better be able to insult someone's ego rather than their identity. If she gets worked up over someone's existence, I'm probably not gonna be interested in her. No need for drama, hate or anger issues.

Then again, this is more likely to be something that people who aren't black or Hispanic experience because we're usually the targets of casual racism.

Yes. My ex was from Vietnam and she loathed China and its people for what they did to her country. I don't recall exactly how I learned her feelings on that subject, but it rarely came up, and she never took out that anger on anyone. She didn't look upon Chinese people with contempt or treat them any differently than she did any other race. She was always the sweetest girl I've ever known. And now she's gone, 4,000 miles away :((
