Just to be clear, that's unmarked spoilers for the four shows that led up to this one. For The Defenders itself, please mark spoilers and say what episode you're spoiling.

To start off with, I find it kind of weird that Jessica can apparently use her story as something to make money. Didn't everyone still doubt that Kilgrave had superpowers? So she just killed a dude?

It's also nice to see that they're staying true to Iron Fist by having his first two scenes be him getting his ass kicked and then having an overly emotional freakout.

First episode is kind of meh. It's essentially a half hour "Previously on..." and then nothing happens for the other half hour.

From what I've seen in the first episode, you can probably get by on this:

Danny is Iron Fist, the superpowered supposed-to-be guardian of the ancient city of Kun-Lun. Kun-Lun and the Iron Fist oppose the Hand, the same group that Daredevil faces in season two. Because Danny fucks off to NYC for his shitty series, he returns to Kun-Lun to find that the entrance has been attacked by the Hand and the portal to the city has disappeared (also it's a magic city that you enter by portal). He's also banging a hot Chinese woman that used to work for the Hand before she realized they bad.

And so you don't get your hopes up, Danny is dumb. I don't mean the concept of him is dumb, I mean he himself is an actual-facts moron.

Solid 8/10 series. While I wouldn't say anything about it was amazing television, it never dragged like every Marvel series since Daredevil season 1.

*Hand agents are spraying acid on murder victims hands and faces*
Danny: "What are they doing?"
Colleen: "I don't know."

They're just so goddamn dumb.

And episode three makes me think that they're really beating you over the head with Alexandra being a million years old or whatever.

This scene in episode three where Danny is considering trying to fight the Hand with his company and Colleen tells him, "Danny, you're not....a businessman."

And it was obvious she wanted to call him dumb but stopped herself.

Yes, because everyone is able toget in contact with billionaire globe trotting superheroes. I'm sure he would've taken them seriously despite the fact that they didn't have any evidence. What did it matter anyway? The season took place over the course of a few days and they handled it themselves.

Yes, because everyone is able toget in contact with billionaire globe trotting superheroes. I'm sure he would've taken them seriously despite the fact that they didn't have any evidence. What did it matter anyway? The season took place over the course of a few days and they handled it themselves.

Spiderman seems to have an easy time getting his attention.

Because they met each other already... Tony was the one who got in contact with him. And if you watched spider-man homecoming then you'd remember that Peter had a lot of trouble getting in contact with him again. Happy Hogan wasn't returning his calls

I finished it last night. I really liked how practically every character just dumps on Danny and he doesn't even notice. God, he sucks.

That was predictable based entirely on how stupid he is.
