A lot of Boomer parents think that their Millennial kids are lazy because they apply for comfortable service sector jobs and live at home until they're 30. Never mind that...
...backbreaking manufacturing jobs have all but disappeared
...nearly all employers require a college degree and college tuition has increased a thousandfold
...the cost of housing has outpaced wages for the last 30 years, worst of all in regional job centers
...Millennials are working more hours for less pay

We probably all have anecdotes about friends who graduated college in the middle of the recent recession, couldn't find work, got discouraged, and gave up on ever living a financially independent life from Mom and Dad. But these stories, while all too common, still defy the averages.
