While these streaming services have often been looked at a possible new home for recently-canceled shows with a passionate fan base, ******** is offering itself as another option, offering to produce a third season of Sense8. In an open letter to co-creators Lilly and Lana Wachowski, the site proposed reviving the Netflix original, which is set to return for a two-hour conclusion special after being canceled in June.

“We recently read that you’re working on a third season of Sense8 despite the fact that Netflix has no plans to renew the series,” wrote ******** vice president Alex Hawkins. “We know it’s unconventional, but we want to bring it back — on *******. We’re not talking about a parody, or something less than, but an actual revival of the series.”

Hawkins’ case on behalf of his site centered on its high traffic (more daily visitors than ESPN, according to him) and the ability to focus the production budget entirely on Sense8, instead of the series having to compete for funds with other Netflix projects.

“We also have the disposition,” he continued. “We know that a series about polymorphous perversity is a hard sell for a mainstream network like Netflix. We have no such limitations, and also understand implicity the interconnectedness of sexualities across boundaries. In short, we are a we.

Acknowledging that his site is an “unlikely home,” he pointed out that the same could have been said about Netflix not that long ago. “We think that our time, like yours, has come,” he concluded.

Jesus fuck... seriously. Netflix didn't cancel the show cause of sex or anything else. When you run up a budget of 6 mil per episode cause you have to film on location across continents, you're dumb.

Good on the open site though for being willing to flush their money down the toilet. I guess.
