Egyptian gods? Disproven
Aztec gods? Disproven
Mayan gods? Disproven
Babaloyian (sp) gods? Disproven
Etc
They've all been proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be nothing more than man-made stories, so why should the Christian god, Jewish god, Islamic god, etc get free passes?

None of them have been proven or disproven to the point of certainty, and your logic is faulty if you're going for absolutes

I don't know about Peterass up thar, but while I agree that they have not been proven in the first place so there's no reason to even acknowledge them - I cannot claim absolute certainty 'cuz such a thing doesn't exist

So this is where I get pedantic: I'm not sure if voters actually are claiming absolute certainty, or if they just mean 99.999999999999999% certainty which is good enough

You can believe anything you want. For example, I can believe talking to a man in a wooden booth doesn't absolve people of mistakes.
Or that upon every human death, our consciousness transfer into a spirit form, that transcends this dimension.
And you can think it's silly some aren't spending their free time worshiping a man in the sky, but I realize my times ultimately limited and I'll never feel fulfillment spending my free time on a religion. Nor do I need belief/fear in a deity to define my choice in a kind or selfless options for others.
