Most notably the distribution of Pokemon is still awful. There's no reason so many of the Gen 2 Pokemon should be available only in Kanto. Pokemon distribution is major issue Game Freak has though even in new games. It's fucking atrocious in Sun/Moon as well. In Gen 6 they did it perfectly. B2W2 had a wide variety of Pokemon available too. And then they fucked up again come Gen 7. That's another problem with Game Freak.
