Trying to get an idea of how most people play. 90% of the time I play undocked, joy-cons attached on the sides, ok?

I'm not one of the lucky people who got one of the eight switches that Nintendo produced.

Normally undocked with joycons attached because I'm normally playing while someone's watching tv.
Otherwise I'll play docked with the joycons in the grip or on the rare occasion I'll take it somewhere with me

I walked into a store at 4:30pm on launch day and got one. No preorder, nothing.

And I usually play docked with the Pro Controller. Games look way better on a TV screen than the mediocre screen the console has.

That said, playing Mario Kart 8 with both Joy Cons is absolutely amazing with the HD rumble. Apparently the Pro Controller has HD rumble too, but it doesn't feel nearly as cool as the Joy Con rumble.

I've never once actually used the dock. Literally have it boxed away.

literally 50 extra switches at my local bestbuy on launch day. As in, 50 switches not attached to preorders that you could just walk in and buy.

Not particularly. It's more-so just me being minimalist. One less cord to cablemanage.

It's been about 50/50 docked and undocked, mostly with the joycons in the grip. That's mostly for Zelda, though, so other games that don't promote the grip so much would likely change that.
