I must admit, 1080p gaming seems quite a lot better than SD gaming. The image is very clear and sharp, and you can see lots of little details.

the first time i got a new flatscreen tv i plugged in skyrim with an HDMI cord

and was completely amazed

"oh wow i can actually see detail now"

"oh wow the stats on the side of my screen don't get cut off"

2008 my ass...

Sony had blu ray prototypes in 2000, 1080p was 2002.
Blu ray in Japan was 2003, 2006 USA

I remember having something from Sony in 2000 that cost like $800

anyone remember 1st gen plasma tv? lol? $12K
