How on earth could somebody care so much about being moderated on a video website for teenagers? I dont get it.

teehee, didja see that essay i wrote on that one moderation a while back? You, or another lead mod, had to read every word of it and if I find out that you didn't I can complain about it. And THIS time I might actually do it, bro. Probably not but you don't know that. I'm fucking crazy and unpredictable. Either way, it was a legitimate dispute and you would know that if you actually read all 500+ words of it, so I didn't break any rules.

His racist rant and then following justification for how he thought it wasn't racist reminds me of that old news clip of a teacher who used a racial slur to address a student and then justified it by saying it wasn't racist because he said it with an "a" at the end.

tell me about it. I said something negative about the mods on another board and within minutes another post of mine in that thread got modded, and for something I see on a daily basis on this site.

not gonna cry about the mod though, its kind of like performing a crime that you see everyone getting away with then getting mad when you get busted for it but they don't. doesn't change the fact you broke the rules.

I am not replying again because anyone who is against me has yet to answer any of my questions and prove the video false in conjunction with their TOU, and in conjunction with "hate speech", which neither I am guilty of, and if I am, link me a dictionary definition of hate speech, and explain why I am guilty logically and factually, or don't waste my time with moving the goalpost away from the topic of discussion.

The only response I get is "they can do whatever, it's their website". But if this was the case, then they would mod everyone and not follow their own rules as closely as they can.

Nor would being able to do "anything they wanted" be legitimate, because if that were the case, they would have no rules regardless, as there would be no reason to have a TOU, if there were no rules. A mod that disliked certain users could effectively "stalk" a board user and karma dump him on no grounds, while at the same time breaking their own TOU which demeans stalking and harassment.

But effectively the mods are already breaking their own TOU by doing these things to users not breaking their rules anyways, so honestly there's nothing to discuss.

Also, if the mod modded me because "they can do whatever they want", the mod would have linked the reason for modding being what the TOU says at the top, which is:

We reserve the right to remove, at any time and without notice, any content from the Service.

But instead, they did not link such in their mod, they linked I broke 2 different rules which was the basis for their removing my posts, and the foundation of their responses. 2 rules which I did not break.

And the reason for the fascism argument is because the very definition of fascism is in their TOU at the very top:

We reserve the right to remove, at any time and without notice, any content from the Service. << Thus why do they have ANY listed other rules, if THIS single rule covers ALL the other rules, and more.

Fascism:

1. (sometimes initial capital letter) a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.

2. (sometimes initial capital letter) the philosophy, principles, or methods of fascism.

3. (initial capital letter) a political movement that employs the principles and methods of fascism, especially the one established by Mussolini in Italy 1922.

I saved their old TOU/etiquette in case they try to edit it as well. So it's all good, and it is save time stamped.

I know for a fact that some mods are stalkers. It is no secret how if one doesn't like you all of a sudden you get modded for all sorts of stupid things.

Dude you guys say this kind of thing all the time but the fact remains that this doesn't come from nowhere.

When you have a lot of people who have the same issues with the same authority figures, that is usually because there is something genuinely wrong with culture of those authority figures. During the Rodney King era the cops kept joking about the way the black community complained about being targeted, trying to dismiss it at nothing besides conspiracy, but of course we all know how that turned out.

Yeah apples and oranges I know, but the point wasn't doing a direct connection to acts but mentality.

I just know how I am far from the only person to realize how there is a certain culture that develops with authority figures, especially ones who need to police public locations. While moderators are more like mall security guards than a police officer, the fact remains that there is a lot of arrogance that goes along with the position.

I mean it's not something that effects everyone, there is always going to be those people who actually make a good argument for why these authority figures exist, but that doesn't stop the bad apples from taking advantage of whatever power they are given. There's a lot of bad apples around here when it comes to the gamefaqs mod staff, nothing personal when I say that it's just that I have noticed a lot of people with very aggressive fan attitudes who act as mods is all.
