It's just a shame he couldn't be the first repeat champ, but at least he is the quickest repeat champ ya know? The people may have wanted more Vivi first, but they wanted more Tidus ferociously.

Gen and I had a Squall/Tidus alliance in CXIV

Tidus gets eliminated first, Gen says she's angry at pjbasis for being pjbasis so she's not going to help Squall anymore (except throw him a few token votes in the final so she can say "hey I threw him a few token votes didn't I")

It's not even that big of a deal. I'm just not interested in working with people who aren't going to go all in on a deal. It's why I won't be working with Jeff Zero again anymore.

Well, he barely gets in a save per round anymore, so he wouldn't be an ideal partner this year anyway.

But nah, not after last year. We'll still help each other if the situation arises because we're friends, but there won't be any more fancy alliances.

Wait what? That's not how I remember it at all. When Tidus went out I was bitter sure, especially with pj being all smug about it but I thought I helped Squall GET to the final only to betray him at the end with like 4 Zack votes to Squall's 6 (again thanks to pj). Not that it matters to Leon since a betrayal is a betrayal but I thought Squall wouldn't have even gotten his one shot if I hadn't at least partially honored that "deal". I mean at the time Tidus went out I wouldn't have even had anything left to support and I'm not the quit-until-the-finals type unless I'm truly bent (which I wasn't). Mind you my mind ain't exactly a steel trap, but I feel like I'm being demonized for very little reason here.

Yes, this is correct. Squall probably doesn't get as far as he does without your help, but it's still a rationalization for why breaking it at the end wasn't a big deal.

Alright you've got me there. I'm sorry. I can't take back what I did, but on the bright side Squall has probably benefited from it far more than he suffered. I mean he's on the cusp of most consecutive top ten placements which his other fans might not have been on board with had he won.

That's not more rationalization, that's just observation. I mean look at what happened to Tidus after his victory. You can blame that on me being a c-word or whatever if you want, but it's far more likely people just move on to the next big thing after the parade is over and done with- everyone but me and MZero cuz we're the best.

As another observation I'm sure I don't need to remind you that I wasn't the only one who pulled Squall support at the end because of pj, and that Squall lost by an amount not equal to just one person turning coats. In short, pj totally lost you that final. It's not your fault as you couldn't prevent him from being a tool, but it's also not completely my fault for being petty like a few others were.

I like to think all of us have grown from that experience at least. It's fine if you don't want to work with me anymore: that's your choice. I don't particularly have a reason to want to work with you in the future so it doesn't matter to me. I wouldn't be opposed either for that matter.

Some of the headaches.

While Squall saves are always appreciated, I don't feel like you (or anyone else for that matter) owe me anything for any perceived slights in the past. While I may have a hard time "letting things go" because my memory is pretty sharp when it comes to these things, it's ultimately my problem to deal with.
