Both. My office tower is directly in the middle of downtown of a city of 1.3 Mil so there are plenty of options to eat every day. Usually lunch is about 8-12 dollars. This used to be a big expense to me but now thats like 5-15 minutes of work to pay for my lunch so whatever.

Usually bring in frozen dinners to microwave, plus a bunch of snacks throughout the day.
A lot of people go out to get lunch, I eat at my desk so I can use my break to exercise or take a walk or something.

Usually make myself food for the week and brownbag it every day. Keeps it cheap and nutritious.

Neither at the moment but when I were working both depending where I work. If shops and the like are near by I nip into those but if I'm working in the middle of nowhere I'd take my own stuff.

It depends on the situation, but I think I go out more, not because I'm rich, but because I hate eating and can't really prepare food. It's kind of a disability. I get nausea and upset stomach a lot. I have appetite problems, and looking at food and thinking about eating makes me sick. Preparing meals means looking at food longer, which makes me sicker.

tbh, there are some places where it's cheaper to go out than it is to brown-bag. When I eat at KFC, I usually just use the Go Cup promo code so I buy a drink and get a free Go Cup. That means my meal's cost is only $2.44. The only way I'd get any cheaper brown-bagging is buying those shitty little ramen cups where you can get 3 for a buck (and they're usually not filling so you wind up eating 2-3) which has 1000% of your daily sodium.
