Might as well just throw some change in a jar. $50 per paycheck will get you nowhere.

At my job we don't choose this amount, its an automatic 6% minimum. But obviously I'm not gonna retire on that rate and the idea is down the road I'll make more.

Its about $53 per check, each check being between 1000-1100 typically. (800 which I see) so that translates to 106.

No. You will never be able to retire on $50 a month. Doesn't matter how young you are or what the rate of return is.

I have an associates in Networking, and just recently got Comptia certified. I'm worth more than that now, I am riding the work experience to beef until my resume until I either finding something better, or get promoted during the merge.

They match what I put in. So if I a putting 106 a month, I am getting $212 per month, which is 2544 per year, and 25k in 10 years.

If you want to retire in style, max it. I have been maxing at ~$18K/yr since I was 23.

18k a year is like 9k less than my entire salary. I get these numbers are a joke to you, but you need to consider my economic placement.

You do realize that these contribututions are supposed to be invested into mutual funds, right? You're not just setting aside cash for the future.

A 401k is an investment account.

I started about 3 years ago, also putting $50 in each check. 26 checks a year. So that's 78 checks bringing me to $3900. My company matches that contribution, bringing it up to $7800.

Since that's all invested, I don't just have $7800 in my account. Last I checked it was about $10500. It goes up and down with the stock market.

But if you aren't hitting the 18500 yearly max for the 401k why would you put money into a Roth?

You contribute pre-tax, so you reduce your tax burden at the present but pay taxes when you withdraw. The idea is that you're likely to have lower income when you retire so you save on taxes overall.
