I live in Port Arthur, I wasn't here when Rita hit but I've never seen it flood like this. My car was about 15 minutes from turning into a pirogue before it finally let up. The streets are still flooded, hopefully the pumps can get this water out in case another band comes this way.

At least in the area I grew up in it's not that bad, just some flooding but nothing really out of the ordinary for a hurricane. I can imagine the bayous as usual are the spots where the most damage occurred.
