No. It's a "highlight" feature from the main menu. It showcases a recently viewed picture. I turned it off, so it just shows a blue square, but that's still a little unsettling that restoring it to factory default doesn't get rid of that. I deleted the picture in question.

It gives me the option of pinning that photo to the start up, but it doesn't give me the "don't use this photo" option.

Anyway -

My guess is it's one of two things.
1. Your hard drive is partitioned in some way that the restore software left part of it (the part with the pic) alone, and only restored the actual OS side of things. A lot of computers have a default partition setup with "System" for the C: drive and "Data" as a D: drive, if we're talking Windows. (Other OS's too - Linux makes great use of it.)
2. Your laptop has some weird restoration software that requires more thorough input on your part to make sure everything is formatted.

The point is to restore software to factory state. It can keep your documents, but that's an option you're presented with at some point in the process. You probably selected "keep my documents".

Well, since Tappor is proving utterly useless, I can offer a few ideas. I'm not familiar with the highlight feature, but if it works like nearly any other program and I'm thinking it does, one of these may work and if not the last one will for sure.

Could be your system didn't delete thumbs.db because it's a hidden system file and you need admin privileges to delete it. So show hidden files (if you don't know how, google it for your OS), and delete that bitch from the directory where you were storing the furry porn. If that's not it...

It's possible your system created a cache somewhere in system files that it's using for the previews. Using a cleanup program like Glary Utilities would probably catch and erase it, or you can hunt it down manually and do the deed yourself if you're just a wee bit more savvy. Glary Utilities is, of course, a free program and very helpful for people who don't know a whole lot about computers. It includes a huge suite of tools that can help maintain your machine, and even has a one-click option these days so people don't even have to think at this point.

Three, if that all fails and you really, really need to get rid of whatever it is, reformat your hard drive and do a clean Windows install.
