No, you are wrong. Around 25% Indians look identical to Chinese and other Asian people. Also, they have nothing to do with China, in case you are wondering, they are culturally Indian. India had historical ties with Tibet and Xinjiang. Tibet is actually more closer to India than Han China. Xinjiang is more closer to Central Asia. Han China is completely different. Tibet used to be an independent country with a distinct identity that was more Indian than Chinese.

Don't know about Russia. They are too far. Native people of the eastern parts of Russia look like Mongolians, Chinese and Native Americans.

The Russians expanded east from Eastern Europe, took over North Asia and displaced most of the native population, which is why most modern North Asians look much more like Europeans and Americans than Kazakhs, Mongolians, Chinese or Japanese even though they border those countries (Pretty much the same thing that happened to the Native Americans in the US (Who actually descended from native North Asians) and Aboriginals in Australia, though with not as much violence). The remaining native peoples in North Asia look much closer to East Asians, though.

The Soviet government was also known to displace and disperse indigenous populations, and they were pretty imperialistic at certain points. A comparison to how white people are all over the US is actually quite apt.
