go for headshots, since enemies will often wear armor.

and look for golden weapon pieces, since golden weapons are stronger than their standard counterparts.

Using cover is essential, diving becomes a one in a while thing instead of a common mechanic

Enemies are bullet sponges on all difficulties

Wait, so in Max Payne 3 you can never ever die or reload a save or otherwise encounter a cutscene for a second time? I must have forgotten that.

I beat that game every year on at least two different difficulties

Shoot-Dodge constantly. I never realized until I was 1/3 into the game how incredibly helpful it is. As soon as Max hits the ground, keep mashing the button to do it again if enemies are still around. If you kill someone the gauge for it refills. Spam it for dear life.

Get ready for a character who has tripled down on the self-loathing since the second game, and an obnoxious filter in every unskippable cutscene (which is all of them).

Great gameplay tho. Just a shame about the rest.

its really not that bullet spongy until the second half or so when enemies start using body armor, but even then a single headshot will put them down which thanks to bullet time is fairly easy to do.

Unskippable cutscenes was the one thing keeping me from a 2nd playthrough
