I would never take a music taste insult from CE seriously. This is the board that gets upset when you diss Buckethead.

In fact the only topics I would actually think twice about in regards to CE advice would be generally PC/tech advice, videogame & anime suggestions and *maybe* beer.

Surprisingly, no. And I've mentioned quite a few bands on here as well-- most falling in the genres of sludge, grindcore and the occasional witchhouse. Probably due to the fact none of the bands are well known enough to be mocked.

The metal board has, though. Several years ago I fell in love with Acid Bath at the same time when the metal board was going crazy over the band with lots of topics. Over the course of a year most of the users ended up hating how much Acid Bath was discussed/praised, and so the one time I mentioned them after their popularity reversal I was mocked for my shit taste in music.

more just genres i like rather than insults coming to me directly.

There was a topic about a month ago where a guy made a "challenge" and asked CE to post rap songs without any cursing in them or references to drugs or gangs. Everyone flooded into the topic to post stuff and tell him how dumb it was to think that all rap songs and those things in them.
